If you're looking for a paranormal romance that offers up something new and unique, while being smart and well-written, look no further. Stolen Destiny is it.
-Selena, The Enchanted Book
...a brilliant piece of writing. Every once in a while I get a review request that comes through that really stirs my emotions, like this one.
-Laurie, Bitten By Paranormal Romance
This is the second book that I have read by Gabrielle Bisset. It's very different from Vampire Dreams which I loved but Stolen Destiny was very entertaining. I found myself enthralled with the storyline.

Stolen Destiny-available at Amazon and Siren Publishing
Released from Nil to find a murderer, a prison-hardened Varek Leale is convinced no woman deserves the man he’s become, but his Aeveren destiny makes him succumb to sweet and sexy Callia Reynolds. To catch the murderer, they turn to Amon Kalins, an ancient Aeveren with the power to control time. But Amon isn’t a man to trifle with and when he wants something, he’ll use his considerable powers, devastating charm, and good looks to get it.
What Amon wants is Callia. When he manipulates time and seduces Callia away, Varek must turn to the people who set him free for help to get her back. But the Council doesn’t do anything without requiring something in return, and what they want is Amon Kalins, one of the most powerful Aeveren ever. Varek will do what he must to capture him and find Callia because if he doesn’t, she’ll be lost to him for untold lifetimes.
Excerpt:
Varek lay in his bed in the room at the Town Inn tormented by his time with Callia. Kissing her, her body pressed up against his, had brought all the old, familiar needs back with a vengeance. Feelings he hadn’t had in lifetimes tortured him, reminding him of a past he so desperately didn’t want to remember. Every feeling, every memory he fought to banish from his mind, but they were stronger than he was and took over his thoughts.
His hands felt their way in the dark, not needing light as they knew every inch of her as well as the body they belonged to. She was his, the only one who had ever made him feel complete. His hands found what they had searched for and he cupped her firm breasts as he straddled her hips. Her hands pressed into the small of his back, urging him to her. His cock brushed her sex as he slid up her body to rest on top of her.
He held her face in his hands, kissing her with the passion of a male totally devoted to his female. As she tilted her hips and ground into him looking for relief from the ache of desire, he whispered into her mouth, “Neera,” the word sounding more like a plea than her name.
She filled his days and nights, and he was a man lost without her. He desired her more than anyone or anything else, and she took full advantage of this fact. But he didn’t mind any of the demands she made; he’d give his life to make her happy.
The feelings she brought out in him made him love her even more. He craved her, needed her. When he was with her like this, everything else in the world ceased to matter.
He lifted up from her and slid himself inside her, feeling her surround him. Her hands pushed him in until they were joined skin to skin. Her moans let him know she wanted him as he wanted her—totally and completely. Her body arched to bring him closer.
She was hot and wet around his cock. He loved being inside her. When they made love, all the fighting and yelling disappeared, and all that was left was what they felt when they were called to one another: a need only the other could fill, unlike anything else he had ever felt with any other female.
He felt her come apart beneath him, felt her nails drag down his back. She tightened around him, bringing him to the edge and then over it as he released into her, his groans of relief sounding into the air around them.
Hours later, as she lay in his arms, he watched her as she slept, her pale blond hair tousled and covering part of her face. She was as fair as he was dark, his opposite in so many ways, ways that threatened to tear them apart if they couldn’t remember the way they felt when they were naked in one another’s arms.
Varek covered his eyes with his right arm and felt the pain of what he and Neera had become by the end take him over. He'd loved her so completely that he'd never seen who she really was. He knew they were toxic together at times, but he loved her, and after the baby, he couldn’t leave even if he had wanted to. Neera was his destined one and their daughter deserved to have a father.
He never saw her betrayal until it was too late. That she'd chosen a human to betray him with, a man who could give her only this lifetime, was just salt in the wound. He'd lost his mind when he finally saw the evidence of her betrayal that night as she fucked another man in the bed they shared. In seconds, he'd killed the only one he’d ever truly loved, consigned himself to a future in Nil, and made his child an orphan. These things were never going to leave him. He was scarred, inside and out, and Callia deserved more.
She deserves more than me.

Oh what a rush! I'm dreading writing scenes like this - I just don't have the words in me I think. I'm just not THAT sexual in nature so this is Hot Hot Hot! When I was a teen I read Ana Nin and I was thinking of emulating her. But this is passionate and arousing. Great excerpt. Shah. X
Thanks Shah! I wasn't dreading writing a scene like this, but I wasn't sure I could. But then I got to it and it just flowed. I'm happy to read you think it's passionate and arousing. That's good!
:)
I loved this excerpt and the one of Broken Destiny. I am so eager to read your books!
This one touched me more deeply than the scene in Broken Destiny because of Varek's internal conflict; his self denial of deserving another chance at love. It's so sad and tragically romantic!
Love your work, Gabrielle Bisset! :)
Soli
Hi Soli! Thanks so much for your lovely comment. Varek is all about internal conflict, but I have a thing for men with that, so I promise Thoren has that in Broken Destiny.
Gabrielle :)
This was so steamy! What I loved about it was that it didn't come across as sleazy but was intense and beautifully written.
Thank you, Komal! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
