Find Out More About The #SonsofNavarus #PNR

Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's a dreary day in PA, made more dreary by the fact that I'm laid up with a back injury. If I'm not in pain, I'm sleeping the day away from the pain killers. Oh, well. This too shall pass.

This week I begin visiting blogs to talk about the Sons of Navarus series in preparation for the springtime release of Blood Prophecy, Book 4 in the series. Much longer than the first three books, it's a real turning point in the story.

Today I'm at Bitten By Paranormal Romance talking about what the series is like, so stop over and take a look. On Wednesday (2-20), I'll be at the Book Lovin' Mamas talking about what makes the Sons series different from others in the genre. Then on Thursday (2-21), I'll be at Awesomesauce Book Club chatting about the four Sons who've already had their stories told. And on Friday (2-22), I'll be at GraveTells talking about the newest book, Blood Prophecy.

I hope you'll stop by each of these wonderful blogs and find out more about the series readers are calling "different from anything else in the vampire genre."

There's also something else new over at my website. Stop over to the Sons Character Profile page to see pics of the heroes and heroines of the series (I'll be adding villains later) and find out more about them.

I'll be back with more dates for the upcoming weeks, so don't miss it! I'll be giving away swag, some of those gorgeous Sons book thongs, and giving peeks into Blood Prophecy. Hope to see you there!

#Vampires For Valentines Day

Welcome to my stop on the Vampires For Valentines Day Giveaway Hop! Thanks to the hop's hosts Felicity Heaton, Caris Roane, and H.D. Thomson. As you can tell by my blog and my book covers, I love vampires. For me, there's no other character that embodies sensuality and power as much as the vampire.

When I began writing my own version of the vampire series, I knew from the very beginning I wanted to do something that hadn't been done before.

From that desire came the Sons of Navarus series. My vampires don't fight against humans anymore since the peace between the two races in the early 20th century. No, my vampires are fighting against one another and other paranormal beings.

Here's the series blurb:

Eight vampire warriors descended from the gods and chosen to defend their world against the Archon takeover, each dedicated to the war they must win. But there's another side to these Sons of Navarus—one that only the women they love know. Behind the strength they need to defeat their enemies lies a passion different in each one of the Sons. Their war will take them around the world and even involve the gods themselves, but they must unlock the secrets of the Prophecy of Idolas to defeat the Archons or perish in trying for none of their kind can be safe if the Archons win this battle.

Let me introduce you to the Sons.

There's Vasilije, whose story is Blood Avenged. Vasilije is pure Alpha male, sensual and powerful. Turned in the 1600s, Vasilije was the son of a Romanian prince and is royalty himself.

And Saint, whose story is Blood Betrayed. Saint is a darker vampire and very much the brooding type. Turned on the battlefield in the First World War, Saint's real name is Declan, but the vampire world calls him Saint because he only sleeps with human females.

Then there's Terek, whose story is Blood Spirit. Seductive and spiritual, he's nearly a god in the vampire world because of the thousands of vampires he's sired, mostly female. A monk in his human life, he was made vampire by a Muslim trader in the mid-1300s just after losing his wife and child.
And Ramiel, who is the biggest Son but the most violent. His book is Blood Prophecy. He's a bad boy down to his bones. He's one of the two Sons responsible for deciphering the Prophecy of Idolas. Turned in the 400s, he was a Visigoth barbarian and Roman slave before being turned vampire.

Then there's Thane, the gentle giant of the group. He's the other Son responsible for the Prophecy. Turned in Tudor England in the 1500s, he's the son of an English nobleman and a true knight-in-shining armor.

And Sion, the smartest of the Sons, is all brain but for the right woman, there's a heart inside him too. Turned during the Second World War, Sion is a mystery to most who meet him, but his life before becoming vampire was very violent and very much not like the icy cold male he appears to be today.

And Dante, who is the youngest of the Sons and a clyten, a type of vampire who can walk in the son. Made vampire in the 1980s, he's the only American in the group and cocky as all hell.

Finally, there's Nico, the oldest of the Sons of Navarus who was turned in ancient Greece and looks like a Greek god.

The first three books in the Sons of Navarus series are currently available and Blood Prophecy is set for release this spring (click on the title for more information on the books in the series) So in celebration of having all these incredibly hot vampires to spend my time with, I'm giving away a signed paperback copy of Blood Avenged, along with the choice of one of the specially made bookthongs for the first four books (Blood Avenged through Blood Prophecy-see below) to one lucky winner.

#CelebratingValentine H0p

It's almost time for Valentine's Day, so a giveaway hop is just the thing for this author to show her love for her readers! Thanks to Nat at Reading Romances for running this hop! Since I write romance, it's not surprising that I love this holiday. ;) There's nothing better than when the hero and heroine finally find each other. Ah...l'amore.

I write a lot of different types of couples, but so far the ones that I've written that are purely romance (with a bit of spice on the side...) are Love's Master and Masquerade, my two historical novellas set in Victorian England. Both have heroes I adore. In Love's Master, Kadar is sexy and strong with a definite dominant side. In Masquerade, Nikolai is intelligent, wealthy, and sexy as all hell. Either one would be a perfect Valentine for any reader.

For this giveaway hop, I'm giving away an ebook copy of Love's Master to one lucky reader and an ebook copy of Masquerade to another lucky reader. For more information and excerpts from each book, click on the covers (will open up a new page).

All you have to do to be entered is leave a comment with your favorite Valentine's gift and fill out as many entries in the Rafflecopter as you like (the more you do, the better your chance of winning). I'll chose a winner for each book after the hop is over. The giveaway is open internationally, so everyone can enter! Good luck!

Blood Avenged On #Audiobook #PNR

Happy Friday, everyone! It's going to be a snowy one in the Northeast here, but it's February and that's expected. We just have to grin and bear it. It's been a great week for me, and the title of this post is one of the reasons why. Blood Avenged is finally out in audiobook!

The narrator John and I began working on this project in October. Things got in the way and I think at some point both of us must have wondered if this book was ever going to get into audio. But I loved his voice, so I decided to stick it out and see what happens. I'm so glad I did. He just did an incredible job, and Vasilije has never sounded so sexy.

I have to admit that hearing the words I wrote made me blush more than once. That book is HOT, if I do say so myself. LOL  To hear a preview of the book, be sure to check it out online at Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.

It's just too cool that one of my books can now be heard in addition to read. I guess I'm sort of nerdy with that stuff, but it really puts a smile on my face. And a huge thanks to John Lazaro, the man with the oh-so-deep-and-sexy voice who did an incredible job narrating!

In addition to that great news is a new cover for Destiny Redeemed. Weeeeeee! I have to admit I loved the old cover, but I wondered if it was time for an update, so I contacted designer extraordinaire, Talina Perkins, and told her to have at it, with only one caveat: the model for Amon must stay (I love him! Mmmmmm....).  The result is just perfect! She used her creative genius to design a background that reflected her vision of Nil, the Aeveren prison where Amon begins Destiny Redeemed, and I love it! I haven't changed the cover yet at the retailers, but you can get a free copy of the book with the original cover at all the major outlets right now. Happy reading!

And last, but certainly not least, is the news that Blood Prophecy, the 4th novel in the Sons of Navarus series, is complete at 81K words. For those of you wondering, that's 21K longer than Blood Avenged and nearly 16K words more than Blood Betrayed and Blood Spirit.

This baby is big!

Blood Prophecy is a turning point in the series, and there's so much story the book is busting at the seams. Readers will get the love affair between Ramiel and his heroine, in addition to the non-romantic storyline of Ramiel and Thane searching for the key to the Prophecy of Idolas; more on Verrater, who the last we heard had plans to kidnap Solenne; more on Vasilije and Sasa, who have been having some problems as of late (if you haven't read the two shorts Longing and The Deepest Cut, be sure to grab those before Blood Prophecy comes out); an introduction really to Sion and Kali, who are falling for each other but very different characters to anyone else in the series; and last but not least, a brand new main character who will be with the series from now on, in addition to the other paranormal characters who will be joining the Sons in their fight against the Archons. Oh, and there's even a Greek god in on the action!

Yeah, it's big. Look for Blood Prophecy this spring, and in the months leading up to its release, I'll be touring around the blogs talking about all things Sons as readers get ready to read the biggest Sons of Navarus book yet.

Whew! It's been quite a week. I need a day off. Now if only that snow would get here maybe my school would cancel classes and I could sit back with a hot chocolate and relax.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Guest Author Elizabeth Morgan

Welcome to author Elizabeth Morgan here today to talk about her new book, Creak.

Creak
(An Erotic Thriller)
By Elizabeth Morgan

BLURB:
“What happens in Silver Creek, stays in Silver Creek.”
After spending the summer as a recluse due to a bad break-up, Nicole Saunders agrees to go to The Heat Wave Festival with her best friends, Kacey and Tyler.

Along with three other friends they plan to take a shortcut through the small town of Silver Creek; the last thing any of them expected was to become lost and end up pulling in to a motel for the night.

The Creek Motel is isolated and the last place Nicole wants to be, especially after meeting the glacial owner, but her discomfort is soon forgot as she finally gives in to her feelings and asks Kacey and Tyler to spend the night with her.

A decision she quickly regrets when she discovers that their friend has mysteriously disappeared from her locked room in the middle of the night. Worried, Nicole presumes the worst, but quickly discovers that Jayne's disappearance is more disturbing than any of them could have guessed.

EXCERPT:
He stared down at me. Uncertainty flickered across his features. "You're drunk?"
"My head's a little fuzzy, but I'm sober enough to know what I'm talking about."
"Nikki, I don't want you doing something you're going to regret just because you're upset over James."
"This has nothing to do with him." I leant up and kissed him. It was gentle, hardly exciting, but at least my stomach didn't turn.
He didn't kiss me back.
I pulled away and looked him dead in the eyes. "You've waited seven years. If it doesn't feel right kissing me, then you know keeping quiet was the right thing, and I know that we just had a crazy moment earlier. One kiss and we can stop being curious and just move on."
A small smile appeared as he arched an eyebrow at me. "You've been curious?"
Warmth blossomed in my cheeks. "Maybe."
Kacey chuckled. "I so fucking knew it."
I scowled at him. "Look, we’re adults, all right? I don't want us all falling out over this."
"What if it does feel right?"
"Well, there's only one way to find out."
I took a deep breath as Tyler cupped my face. My eyes fluttered shut as his mouth caught mine without hesitation. His tongue slipped against the seam of my lips and a small pop of heat hit the walls of my stomach. I pressed my hands to his chest, my nails sliding against the material of his T-shirt as I opened up to him.
His tongue slid slowly against my own and the agonizing pace and tease of his gentleness caused my heart to skip. I slid my hands up to his shoulder and neck. I ran my fingers through his black hair as my body melted against him.
He trailed his fingers down my throat and each tip sent a different pulse of electricity straight to my stomach. His hands fell to my hips and as the pressure of his fingers began to increase with the pace of his demanding lips, my slowly sobering mind began to twist with familiar and forbidden fantasies.
And I wanted to give in to them all.
Why the hell had I ever thought that this would be weird?
We shared everything with one another, so why couldn't we share ourselves? I would never dream of hurting him and I knew Tyler would never hurt me. I trusted him more than I trusted myself and the idea of being locked in his arms while he rocked languidly into me had my entire body thrumming with need.
"Right, I can't watch this shit." Kacey grunted as he got up. "It's one thing getting a hard-on over you, baby girl. The fact that Tyler happens to be in the picture…I'm freaking slightly."
I pulled away from Tyler, my breath somewhat shallow as I angled my head so I could glance at Kacey. "I don't want you to go."
Tyler didn't shift his focus from me and I watched as realization slowly slipped across his features. "You weren't just referring to me, were you?"
I shook my head and the smallest dose of guilt began to stab at me. "I think I could kinda love you both in my own way. I have—sometimes I have—God why is this so hard?" I took a deep breath. "There have been times when I've wondered what—across the years I’ve sometimes wondered—sometimes I have considered risking our friendship." I looked over at Kacey. "Do you understand what I am saying to you?"
"You're usually naked when I imagine you saying you want me, but yeah."
My jaw tensed. "I hate you sometimes. I hate the way you treat women and that you can't keep your dick in your pants or your damn mouth shut—"
"But you still want me, right?" He moved closer to me. "When are you going to get it in your head that you're not just some girl, Nikki? You're our girl."
"I want you both." I said quietly, not caring that my cheeks had grown warmer. "I have for a while."
"If we try this—" Tyler took a deep breath. "And it doesn't feel right—"
"We'll stop." Kacey promised as he slid his hand beneath my halter neck and began caressing my skin. "You say it baby, and we'll stop and forget all about it."
My stomach flipped at the feel of his fingers circling my navel. "And if I don't want to stop?"
An unreadable look crossed Tyler’s face and my heart skipped as Kacey moved behind me. The warmth of his body seeped into my back, while his fingers painted trails of heat across my abdomen and along my ribs.
"Then what happens in Silver Creek, stays in Silver Creek. Unless you decide otherwise." Kacey pressed his lips to my ear. A shiver ran down my neck and spine. "Does that sound fair?"
I closed my eyes and tilted my head to the side as his lips brushed against my jawbone and down the side of my throat. A groan escaped me as his hand closed over my bare breast and he squeezed eagerly. Tyler's hands fell from my hips and I felt Kacey's right hand splaying on my stomach as he pulled me closer and ground his growing erection in to my lower back.
"Yes or no, Nikki?" he asked raggedly. "Tyler ain't the only one whose been fantasizing about this baby, and I hate to remind you, but I'm not exactly patient."
I opened my eyes and looked at Tyler, watching as he pulled his T-shirt off and revealed the lean muscles of his abdomen and arms. I reached up and cupped his jaw, idly running my thumb along his bottom lip while I lifted my left arm and wound it around the back of Kacey's head. I slid my fingers in to his mass of curls and pulled playfully. "Yes."

Blood Avenged #Vampires in #NOLA

When I began writing Blood Avenged in the summer of 2011, I was offered the opportunity to travel to New Orleans for the very first time to attend the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Halloween Ball. I jumped at the chance, and from the moment I stepped into the French Quarter, I was in love with the city.

I love to set my books in exotic and fabulous settings, and with New Orleans I had an incredibly sensual backdrop perfect for a book about an incredibly sensual vampire. Vasilije is everything New Orleans is. Hot, steamy, seductive, delicious.

Being in The Big Easy gave me the opportunity to do on-site research for the story, and it's one of the things I'm proudest of with that first Sons of Navarus book. The scenes described are the result of being able to walk (and ride the fabulous streetcars) around New Orleans to appreciate the unique and wonderful vibe that city has. I'm always so thrilled when a reader says, "I loved reading about the city in Blood Avenged. Is it really like that?"

It is and more! I fell in love with New Orleans and my main character Vasilije on that trip. Blood Avenged is as much a book about Vasilije and erotic vampires as it is about the great city of New Orleans.
